Bhola district is located on south-western of Bangladesh. Bhola is a district of Barisal Division. It is also the largest offshore island region in Bangladesh. It is bounded by Lakshmipur district and Barisal district to the north, Bay of Bengal to the south, Lakshmipur district and Noakhali district, Meghna (lower) river and Shabazpur Channel to the east, Patuakhali district and Tentulia river to the west.
