Narail district is located on Khulna division of Bangladesh. Narail district is bounded by Magura district on the nourth, Khulna district on the south, Faridpur district and Gopalganj district on the east and jessore district on the west.

Narail Town: Narail town stands on the bank of the Chitra river. It consists of nine (9) wards and twenty four (24) mahallas.

It consists of two (2) municipalities, eighteen (18) wards, forty three (43) mahallas, three (3) upazilas, thirty seven (37) union parishads, four hundred forty five (445) mouzas and six hundred forty nine (649) villages.
